Happy 1rst Birthday
Well it has arrived and we have survived! We celebrated the triplets birthday this week and had a blast. There was cake on the face and floor and a small group of friends and family standing by.
A made a strawberry bannna split cake and it was excellent. The babies were a little timid with the commotion. Sammy, Mr Social, seemed to be less affected. I think he must have thought, well it is about time we get some people over, lets party! They received learning toys and walk & ride ons.
We decided to make the babies their favorite food, or at least one of, which was mac n cheese and ribs. Yes I said it, ribs...
On the fourth of July we had made ribs and A gave a rib bone with a no meat on it to Sammy. He loved to chew on the bone. I know, it seems like we are treating them as our favorite pet....One other time we had ribs and we handed out a bone with a little meat on them and they loved it. So, although ribs don't show up on most babies menu item ideas, they loved it. They now have enough chompers that we could leave little peices of meat on the bone and they gobbled them right up.
We started the party at 5:30 and everyone was pretty much on their way by 8:30. A was so busy serving cake to everyone, she missed a lot of the birthday cake mess. They were still a little young to get into the unwrapping, but it sure was fun to have them at a level where they can interact with the events around them.
